Someli ("we," "our," or "the App") is a daily prayer and devotional application. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting the personal information you share with us. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
First Name: When you set up the App, you may enter your first name. This is stored locally on your device and, if you enable cloud sync, on our servers. It is used solely to personalize your experience (e.g., "Good morning, Alex").
Onboarding Preferences: During onboarding, you may answer optional questions about your prayer habits, age range, and goals. This information is stored locally and is used to improve your experience. It is not shared with any third party.
Usage Data: We collect information about how you use the App, including your prayer streak, total prayers completed, and prayer history (which days you prayed). This data is stored locally on your device and, if cloud sync is enabled, on Firebase servers.
Device Identifier: We generate a random unique identifier (UUID) stored on your device. This is used to manage your subscription through RevenueCat and to sync your data if cloud backup is enabled. This identifier is not linked to your real identity.
Subscription Data: If you subscribe to Someli Premium, your purchase is processed by Google Play. We receive subscription status information (active, expired, trial) through RevenueCat, our subscription management provider. We do not receive or store your payment card details, billing address, or other payment information.
We do not collect your email address, phone number, precise location, contacts, photos, browsing history, or any other sensitive personal information. We do not use analytics SDKs such as Google Analytics, Facebook SDK, or similar tracking tools. We do not serve advertisements.
Providing the Service: Displaying personalized greetings, tracking your prayer streak, and delivering daily prayers and Scripture.
Subscription Management: Verifying your subscription status to provide access to premium features.
Cloud Backup: If enabled, syncing your streak and preferences across devices or after reinstallation via Firebase.
Push Notifications: Sending daily morning prayer reminders at 8:00 AM local time if you have granted notification permission. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
Your data is stored locally on your device using standard browser storage. If you enable cloud sync, your data is stored on Google Firebase servers (Firestore), which are protected by Google's enterprise-grade security infrastructure. Firebase Anonymous Authentication is used, meaning your data is not linked to any personally identifiable account.
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We use the following third-party services:
Google Play Billing: Processes your subscription payments. Google's privacy policy applies to payment processing. We do not have access to your payment details.
RevenueCat: Manages subscription status and entitlements. RevenueCat receives your anonymous device identifier and subscription status. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Google Firebase: Provides cloud data storage and anonymous authentication (only if cloud sync is enabled). Firebase's privacy policy is available at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any other third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
Free Trial: Someli offers a 3-day free trial for the monthly subscription. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid monthly subscription at $7.99/month.
Subscription Plans: Someli Premium is available as a monthly subscription ($7.99/month) or an annual subscription ($59.99/year). Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
Cancellation: You can cancel your subscription at any time through the Google Play Store. Go to Google Play Store, then Menu, then Subscriptions, then Someli, then Cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to premium features until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Google Play in accordance with their refund policy. You may request a refund through Google Play Store, then Account, then Order History, or by contacting Google Play support. We do not process refunds directly. If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from using the App, please contact us and we will assist you.
Access and Deletion: Since your data is stored primarily on your device, you have full control over it. Uninstalling the App will delete all locally stored data. If you have enabled cloud sync and wish to have your cloud data deleted, please contact us.
Notification Control: You can enable or disable push notifications at any time through your device settings.
GDPR (European Users): If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, rectify, or delete your personal data, restrict or object to processing, and data portability. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below.
CCPA (California Users): If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of your data, and opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
Someli is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete it promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
Local data is retained on your device until you uninstall the App or clear app data. Cloud-synced data is retained as long as your account exists. Prayer history older than 90 days is automatically pruned from local storage to optimize performance.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
Someli is a devotional and spiritual wellness application. It is not a substitute for professional counseling, therapy, or medical advice. The prayers, Scripture, and reflections provided are for personal devotional use only. We make no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any content.
The App is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all liability for any damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, interruption of service, or inability to access premium features due to technical issues.
